2007 Holiday Gift Guide: Part Two

Agate bookends, $44
There are a million places you can buy these on the web; just beware of shipping and handling. If you're lucky, there's a rock & gem mining site or natural cave giftshop near you. I love the rugged elegance these add to a bookshelf.
Edit: I just realized that Jayson Home and Garden has them, too. I got Dan a set from somewhere unmemorable for Christmas last year, which makes me feel so ahead of the trend. Ha!

2008 Daily Planner, $35
While this is normally the kind of thing people buy for themselves, certain people (like me) would be overly excited about such a nice planner to the point that it would freak out other people (like my boyfriend), for whom organization just isn't as important to daily functioning. Each day takes up a full page, and there's a ribbon to keep your place.

Gold metallic jacquard wrap from Banana Republic, $88
Someone you know just might be obsessing over a metallic damask coat right now (so French...seeing a trend?). While this may seem a bit pricey for a wrap, it's cheaper than a coat. People rarely buy little luxuries like this for themselves, and the holidays are just the time to buy them for others.

Two-sip flask keychain, $29.50
You could give this to a guy right now, and he'd still use it when he's 80. That alone makes it an amazing gift.

Martha Stewart Everyday hedgehog ornament, $2.99
I can't in good conscience advise anyone to buy the owl or squirrel because they look a little creepy, but the hedgehog is adorable and would lend just the right amount of rustic charm to a Christmas tree.

Awww! It's so great to get a little positive feedback--I've been so busy/tired lately, and have had some guilt for neglecting the blog. Thank you so much!
